cute teacher gift

Organic Bloom (the company I get my frames from) makes these ADORABLE ornament frames.  The photo openig is 3X3 inches.  If you are still looking for a gift for your child(ren)'s teacher, and want one (or more) of these, let me know!  My kids are giving these and putting a picture of themselves in it.  You could also put some fun Christmas wrapping paper in them, or cardstock......

I have been into Pinterest lately, and although a lot of the recipies, fashion, etc are so fun to look at, it's the sayings that really make me pay attention.

The one that I keep thinking of, is one that is simple:  Parents dont teach children, children teach parents.  Oh how that is true.  My true learning began AFTER college.

I have learned what is really important in life - people, loved ones.  Money doesnt mean anything at all if you dont have love.  I have learned patience.  I have learned that tomrrow is another day (a gift, not a given).  I have learned that you can plan everything you want to the tiniest detail, but there is something (Someone) bigger than us, who may have a different plan to make us better people.  In the moment, sometimes those changes on plans made me cry....made me curse...made me scream WHY ME.  But then, after I let my eyes really open, the revelations become clear.

I love my family and life is not perfect, but I wouldnt change anything.

Lexi is the best dog.  really.  Reagan has been full swing into making her her Barbie Doll.  A couple photos from  the week.....

We all think that Lexi looks like Rosebud from the "Buddies" movies (Snow Buddies, Spooky Buddies, Santa Buddies, etc etc).  Yes, we have them all....
Reagan likes to take it one step further and put the pink bow on Lexi's ear to complete the look.

It has been too long since I blogged and I have no excuse other than the fact that I have been BUSY!  But busy is good.

Halloween

We were blessed with great weather for Halloween.  Lucky, because we could have had cold weather and snow!

Erik grew this pumpkin in our yard.  It was 99 lbs before we carved it!

Fall Photography

Like last year, my business picks up a bit in the Fall. I think that the combo of the cooler weather plus the beauty of Minnesota Fall makes a great combo for outdoor pictures.  I am going to share some pictures from sessions I have recently done over the next couple of days. 
It is truly a blessing to be doing something that I love.
